Velvet Buffalo Modern Italian, located in downtown Beloit, has been honored for its outstanding wine program in Wine Spectator’s 2023 Restaurant Awards, which celebrate the world’s best restaurants for wine.
Velvet Buffalo was recognized with the Award of Excellence which celebrates restaurants whose wine lists feature a well-chosen assortment of quality producers along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style.
Wine Spectator began its program to recognize the world’s best wine lists in 1981. Velvet Buffalo Modern Italian has won the Award of Excellence for the last four consecutive years. Winners of the award display a wine list with excellent breadth across multiple regions, showing a deep commitment to wine both in the cellar and through their service team.
